Welcome to our Blog!
We can't wait to share our Lake George marina ownership experience with you all. We have a lot going on to get the marina ready for the spring boating season, and big plans ahead for the operation. To start, we are moving the Freedom Boat Club Lake George from Beckley's in Diamond Point to Queen Boat Co. and increasing to 12 boats in the fleet. We have a full service department with a great mechanic, Adam Riley, who has been on Lake George for many years. We'll be renovating the first floor retail space to build out a really cool ships store which will be managed by our awesome Director of Operations, Maryellen Moseman, who has been with us since our first year in 2016. We've got some great dock staff moving with us and look forward to providing the same great service our customers have gotten used to when we were at Beckley's.
If you drive by, you'll notice some important infrastructure work being done. First order is replacing the fuel tank and pump and switching to non-ethanol fuel, great for your motors! Next up is some wastewater improvements. We feel very strongly about being good stewards of the lake and leaving it better than we found it so our kids can enjoy the same clean Lake George water we do!
We're working with Phinney Design Group out of Saratoga Springs on the master plan and once we get through the infrastructure parts, we'll start sharing more of our final vision.
We'll be selling Tracker Boats, and Torqeedo electric motors, so we want to be able to help people on any part of the boating lifestyle journey. That's it for now but we hope you will follow our progress and come visit in the spring!
